June 07, 2022. EMB Region 02 headed by Regional Director Nelson P. Honrado successfully convenes the first face to face WQMA –Calao-Delinquente-Diadi (CDD) River System Governing Board Meeting since the pandemic at Mango Suites, Santiago City.
Highlights of the meeting were the Presentation of the following: 1) Accomplishment of Santiago City based on the WQMA Action Plan, 2) Presentation/Updating of Industries within WQMA – CDD, 3) Presentation on the Volume and Type of Wastes Collected during the Clean-Up on April 22, 2022, and 4) Updating of WQMA Action Plan.
Two resolutions were discussed, first is Resolution Convening the Establishment Owners/Operators along WQMA – CDD to discuss their roles and responsibilities; and the second is Resolution Updating the Members of the three TWGs.
WQMA – CDD and its Governing Board was created by virtue of DENR Administrative Order No. 2015 – 13. The general functions of the Governing Board are policy making and policy coordination, financial management, monitoring, administration of WQMA concerns and administrative coordination.
